Remedy Entertainment has released the official gameplay reveal trailer for supernatural action RPG CONTROL Resonant, offering a first in-depth look at exploration systems, combat progression, and large-scale boss encounters ahead of its 2026 launch. The game is due out in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Running on PlayStation 5 Pro, the footage showcases protagonist Dylan Faden navigating the West Incursion Zone in Manhattan—a distorted region reshaped by otherworldly forces that are actively tearing reality apart. Players see Dylan tracking a powerful Resonant enemy through a shifting cityscape defined by unstable architecture and environmental anomalies.
Set within a twisted reimagining of Manhattan, CONTROL Resonant features expansive, clearly defined zones packed with optional discoveries, hidden encounters, and side activities. As reality fractures, Dylan’s supernatural abilities allow him to traverse areas that defy conventional physics. These include Gravity Anomalies, where orientation and gravitational pull shift dynamically, forcing players to rethink movement and positioning.
Central to combat is the Aberrant, an otherworldly shapeshifting melee weapon that transforms into multiple forms. This evolving arsenal enables players to tailor their approach to encounters, combining weapon forms with unlockable supernatural abilities and talent upgrades. As progression unfolds, new Aberrant configurations and powers expand the overall combat toolkit.
The trailer also highlights boss confrontations against entities known as Resonants—corrupted remnants of powerful individuals consumed by the same force destabilizing reality. Defeating these high-tier enemies not only advances the narrative but unlocks new combat abilities, reinforcing the game’s progression loop.
CONTROL Resonant will be published by Remedy Entertainment, with Annapurna Pictures co-financing and co-producing the project as part of a broader strategic partnership between the two companies.
