Larian Studios has announced Divinity, a new role-playing game set in the long-running fantasy world of Rivellon. Platforms and a release date have not yet been revealed, but the studio describes the project as its most ambitious title to date.

Built by the team behind Baldur’s Gate III, Divinity represents a major new chapter for Larian, both creatively and thematically. The game is positioned as a fresh entry point for newcomers, while longtime fans of Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II can expect deeper context and continuity woven into the experience. According to the studio, this is the first time a game has carried the simple, definitive title Divinity, signaling a unifying vision for everything Larian has learned over the years.
Set against a backdrop of a wounded world where the gods have fallen silent, Divinity explores a Rivellon on the brink of transformation. New powers are awakening, and the balance of the realm is once again in flux. Larian emphasizes increased scope and intimacy, aiming to deliver an RPG with greater depth, reactivity, and narrative weight than any of its previous projects.
Studio founder and game director Swen Vincke describes Divinity as the culmination of Larian’s journey so far, bringing together decades of design experience into a single, focused vision. While details remain scarce, the announcement frames the game as a foundational step forward for the studio, rather than a simple sequel or iteration on past work.
