Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a high-stakes racing adventure set in the Outer Rim, has been announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store by publisher Secret Mode and developer Fuse Games.

The title is planned for release in 2026 and marks a new direction for the studio led by former Criterion Games general manager Matt Webster. According to Fuse Games, the project aims to redefine racing with an emphasis on spectacle, danger, and moment-to-moment decision-making, bringing Star Wars’ long-standing affinity for speed into a modern reinterpretation.
Set after the Empire’s collapse, the game depicts a galaxy obsessed with adrenaline, competition, and underground entertainment. The Galactic League emerges in this climate, offering an illicit circuit where syndicates fund pilots and where fame, fortune, and survival are never guaranteed. Players take on the role of Shade, an independent racer driven by personal motives, navigating factions, rivalries, and escalating challenges as they push through a sport where every run unfolds differently.
Races are designed to be unpredictable, demanding quick reactions, calculated aggression, and a mastery of risk-reward strategy. Pilots control various repulsorcraft classes, each featuring distinct handling, physics, and upgrade pathways that allow for deeper customization. The experience extends across both a narrative campaign and competitive modes where opponents adapt and reputations are shaped by performance.
