The Wild West open-world survival crafting adventure Frontier Legends will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store this spring, developer Neojac Entertainment has announced. Ahead of release, the game will be featured during Steam Horse Fest from February 19 to 23, with a new playable demo scheduled for March.

Set on the untamed frontier, Frontier Legends casts players as a newly arrived settler tasked with carving out a life in a harsh and unpredictable land. Blending survival systems, crafting mechanics, and open-world exploration, the game challenges players to manage core needs, gather resources, and adapt to dynamic weather conditions and day-night cycles where wildlife, environmental threats, and roaming outlaws pose constant danger.
Settlement building forms a central pillar of progression. Players begin with a modest camp that can gradually expand into a thriving frontier town. NPC settlers can be recruited and assigned to daily tasks such as farming, crafting, gathering, and defending the community. Leadership decisions directly impact the prosperity and stability of the settlement, reinforcing a management layer alongside survival gameplay.
Role-playing freedom is another defining element. Players can shape their reputation as a hunter, trader, builder, bandit, lawman, or a hybrid path in between. Choices influence how the frontier reacts, allowing for divergent playstyles rooted in cooperation or conflict.
Horse taming plays a strategic role in traversal and survival. Wild horses roam the landscape and can be captured, trained, and developed into reliable mounts, each with unique attributes that affect mobility and combat survivability. In hostile encounters, a dependable horse can determine whether a journey ends safely or in defeat.
Beyond settlement management, exploration drives long-term objectives. Players can venture into ancient ruins, abandoned camps, and hidden regions to uncover quests, puzzles, and legendary treasures that expand the narrative scope of the frontier. Cooperative multiplayer supports teaming up with other players to build, trade, and survive together, while competitive elements allow for raiding, betrayal, and seasonal challenges tied to exclusive rewards.
