DaRmaZat Publisher KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA have announced that 2D fighting game DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round will launch on June 25, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A free-to-play edition titled DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters will release the same day alongside the standard edition.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round serves as the definitive edition of the original 2019 release, which shipped over 900,000 copies worldwide. This updated version has been optimized for current-generation hardware and allows existing owners of the standard edition to carry over DLC costumes, premium tickets, and save data. The roster includes the original 24 fighters, as well as five previously released DLC characters: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki. DLC guest characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond are not included.
Several characters, including Kasumi and Marie Rose, will receive new crossover costumes inspired by other Team NINJA titles such as NINJA GAIDEN 3 Razor’s Edge and DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation. A dedicated Photo Mode has also been added, introducing features such as adjustable character positioning and pose selection for capturing custom screenshots.
The free-to-play DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters edition will include Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO at launch. Players will also have access to Photo Mode and online modes including DOA Quest and DOA Central. Story Mode will not be included in the free edition but can be accessed separately via Story Unlock DLC.
In addition to the announcement of DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round, KOEI TECMO and Team NINJA also teased an unannounced new entry in the DEAD OR ALIVE series. Further details on additional costumes and characters for Last Round are expected to be shared later this year.
