ATMOSFAR, the story-driven sci-fi survival sandbox adventure from Apog Labs and SHUEISHA GAMES, is set to launch in Early Access later this year for PC via Steam. Ahead of that release, the game has surpassed 100,000 wishlists, with a playable demo scheduled for Steam Next Fest starting February 23.

The upcoming demo will provide players with an extended look at the opening hours of ATMOSFAR, transporting them to the planet Tycos. From there, players will pilot the Utility Wasp aircraft to explore floating islands suspended high above the clouds, marking their first steps into the game’s blend of aerial traversal and survival systems.
The preview build introduces core mechanics, including navigating hazardous weather phenomena such as the Firesky, scavenging scrap, deploying camps, and beginning construction of an interstellar outpost. Players will encounter alien flora and fauna while adapting to the occupational risks of pioneering an uncharted world.
Positioned as a survival sandbox with a strong narrative backbone, ATMOSFAR combines flight-based exploration with mobile base-building and resource management. The broader experience will allow players to command multiple aircraft types, including specialized Wasps and the large-scale Cloud Cruiser airbase, while undertaking ground expeditions and cooperative missions for up to four players.
With more details about the demo expected later this month, the February 23 Steam Next Fest build marks the first hands-on opportunity for players to experience the foundations of ATMOSFAR before its Early Access debut.
