The first 20 minutes of WILL: Follow the Light are now live on IGN, providing a fresh look at early story moments, northern exploration, and the start of Will’s journey as a lighthouse keeper searching for his family. Developer and publisher TomorrowHead Studio also announced that public playtests will open on December 19 at 5 PM GMT, giving players a chance to experience a larger portion of the game firsthand.

WILL: Follow the Light is a first-person adventure puzzle game in development for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG. Last week, the studio shifted the game’s release window to the first half of 2026 following extensive closed playtests involving over 500 participants. According to TomorrowHead Studio, the additional development time ensures a polished, simultaneous launch across all platforms for what will be the team’s debut title.
Set in a windswept northern wilderness, WILL: Follow the Light follows lighthouse keeper Will as his tranquil life collapses after a sudden disaster strikes his hometown and his son disappears. Players travel aboard his small vessel, Molly, navigating frozen coastlines, misty seas, and deserted settlements. Sailing, exploration, and puzzle-solving blend into a narrative focused on family, resilience, and unraveling personal loss amid unforgiving natural forces.
