Nintendo Shares New Overview Trailer for Drag x Drive, Announces Global Jam Demo

Nintendo has released a seven-minute overview trailer for Drag x Drive, its upcoming three-on-three competitive sports game inspired by wheelchair basketball and extreme sports. The company also confirmed a limited-time demo event, “Drag x Drive: Global Jam,” which will take place from August 9 to 10 ahead of the game’s full release.

The trailer introduces the title’s unique control scheme, where players use both Joy-Con 2 controllers like dual mice to maneuver, perform tricks, and execute shots. Combining elements of wheelchair basketball, rugby, and skateboarding, the game emphasizes fast movement, stunts, and multiplayer coordination.

In online play, up to twelve players can gather in lobbies called Public Parks, where matches begin automatically once six players are present. Private Friend Parks allow for custom matches and include additional mini-games and challenges. Offline modes are also available, offering AI opponents for solo practice.

Players can choose between three driver classes—Guard, Center, or Forward—each with distinct attributes. Outside of regular matches, the game features a Circuit Sprint mode, park-wide challenges, and a range of unlockable customization options for characters and gear.

The Global Jam demo will be open to Nintendo Switch 2 users with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. It will be available during the following time slots:

• August 9: 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. PT
• August 9: 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PT
• August 10: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT

Drag x Drive is set to launch for Switch 2 on August 14.
