Monomi Park will release Slime Rancher 2 out of Early Access on September 23, the studio announced. The full version will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

Slime Rancher 2 continues the story of Beatrix as she explores a mysterious new world filled with colorful biomes, ancient tech, and dozens of slimes—some returning, others brand-new. Since its Early Access launch, the game has received frequent content updates, including new explorable zones like Powderfall Bluffs and the sprawling Grey Labyrinth, along with expanded story beats, environmental effects, and a full weather system that influences gameplay.
A physical release is planned for early 2026 through distributor iam8bit, priced at $34.99/€34.99. Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be available. The boxed edition will include artwork by Yusuke Naora and a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack. iam8bit will also offer an exclusive variant that comes in an illustrated sleeve, features a six-piece slime sticker sheet, and showcases protagonist Beatrix LeBeau on the cover. Pre-orders are open now, with the exclusive edition available only until August 26.
The sequel originally debuted in Early Access in September 2022 for Xbox Series and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version arriving in June this year. The 1.0 release will introduce new map areas, the addition of Quantum Drones, and a conclusion to Beatrix’s ongoing adventure on Rainbow Island.
