Publisher Skybound Games and developer Broken Mirror Games have released the first gameplay trailer for I Hate This Place, their upcoming open-world survival horror game based on the Eisner-nominated comic series by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin. The game is now confirmed for a Q4 2025 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Set in the eerie wilderness of Rutherford Ranch, I Hate This Place puts players in control of Elena, a lone survivor hunted by a malevolent force she accidentally helped summon. The game blends classic crafting and survival mechanics with stealth, sound-based enemy behavior, and a pulpy retro horror aesthetic.
By day, players explore haunted forests, derelict towns, and infested bunkers to scavenge resources, build defenses, and prepare. By night, the true horrors emerge—stronger, faster, and more aggressive foes that demand caution, strategy, and silence to evade.
With its bold comic book visuals and heavy ’80s vibes, I Hate This Place delivers a tense and stylized survival experience where every sound could be your last.
