DaRmaZat Publishers The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, together with developer Game Freak, have released a six-minute overview trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The upcoming RPG launches worldwide on October 16 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
The trailer highlights the adventure in Lumiose City, where players choose between Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as their starter Pokémon. Wild zones allow Pokémon to roam freely, while battles unfold in real time with the ability to Mega Evolve—a first for the series. Trainers can also join the Z-A Royale, competing against rivals to climb the ranks. Local and online multiplayer with up to four players adds further intensity.
Beyond battles, players can customize their look at boutiques, relax in cafés, and snap photos at landmarks like the Prism Tower. Hotel Z becomes a central hub, led by the mysterious AZ, while the city is home to colorful characters and factions including Urbain, Taunie, and Quasartico Inc. Side quests with residents offer rewards and deeper immersion in Lumiose City’s bustling life.
