Publisher Daybreak Game Company and developer Cold Iron Studios have announced that cooperative third-person shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch on August 25, 2026, for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Fireteam Elite 2 drops squads of up to four players into high-intensity combat scenarios against swarming Xenomorph threats, with gameplay focusing on tactical fireteam coordination, leveraging specialized class abilities, and adapting to unpredictable encounters across claustrophobic corridors. Expanding on its predecessor, the title introduces deeper squad mechanics, enhanced enemy AI, element-based weapon modifications, and a fully customizable Specialist class.
The sequel will be available in both a Standard Edition and a 40th Anniversary Premium Edition, which bundles cosmetic packs and modified pulse rifles inspired by Ellen Ripley from 1986’s Aliens and comic hero Herk Mondo. Additionally, a day-one DLC pack titled Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack will introduce gear inspired by 2024’s Alien: Romulus, including a pulse rifle equipped with an underbarrel cryoweapon.
