Simone Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts IV will launch in late 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
Kingdom Hearts IV‘s story picks up as Sora awakens in Quadratum, a modern metropolis far removed from his home world. While Sora searches for a way back, Donald and Goofy explore the Underworld to track down his whereabouts. Continuing the franchise’s fast-paced action combat gameplay, the title introduces keyblade-transformation mechanics that allow you to adapt your attacks, magic, and combos mid-battle to fit your playstyle.
Alongside the release window, Square Enix confirmed that the world of Disney and Pixar’s Coco will feature in the game.
