Frogwares has debuted a new extended gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2, offering a deeper look at the atmospheric horror awaiting players ahead of its August 18, 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

The latest footage spotlights the Arkham Fish Market – a once-thriving hub of commerce now overrun by aquatic Deep Ones and horrors from the ocean depth. Navigating decayed seafood stalls, abandoned warehouses, and rusted fishing gear, players encounter the lone remaining resident of the forsaken location, who has slipped past the point of humanity.
Upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.8 for performance optimizations, The Sinking City 2 shifts heavily into traditional survival horror gameplay. Following occult adventurer Calvin Rafferty as he searches for his comatose girlfriend, Faye, in a flooded 1920s Arkham, the title focuses on resource management, firearms combat, and inventory control against possessed entities known as the Slither.
Recently, we had the chance to get hands-on experience with an early demo of the game. You can read our preliminary thoughts in our hands-on preview.
