DaRmaZat Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has officially revealed Little Nightmares III – The Backstage, a major piece of additional content that adds new puzzles and atmospheric challenges to the base game. The expansion is scheduled to release on June 12, 2026, across PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store).
The Backstage plunges you into the darkest, hidden sectors of The Carnevale, introducing a fresh character and forcing you to confront nightmarish new threats lurking behind the curtains. The narrative of this DLC expansion focuses on Low meeting a new child named Dime, who is identifiable by a specialized hat equipped with a flashlight. This light source serves as a crucial mechanical tool for navigating the pitch-black layout of the environment.
Together, the two children must work in tandem through puzzle-laden corridors, using their combined light to outmaneuver the terrifying traps set by a dangerous entity known as the Puppeteer. Your ultimate goal throughout this journey is to find a way to rescue Alone from the Puppeteer’s grasp.
This extra content is included as part of the Little Nightmares III Deluxe Edition, which grants immediate access to this expansion upon launch alongside a second piece of additional content slated for release later this year.
