Publisher Konami along with developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin have announced Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. The title is scheduled to launch on October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, with a Nintendo Switch release arriving later in 2026.

The game is set in 1499 within a burning medieval Paris that has been overrun by monstrous creatures emerging from a looming castle. The narrative follows Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, as he enters the burning streets alongside his daughter, Rose Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, the duo hunts down the invading beasts, though Rose quickly becomes entangled in a dark underlying conspiracy that threatens to devastate the city.
The gameplay features updated whip mechanics that allow players to swing freely across areas like a trapeze artist and execute fast-paced combat maneuvers. Defeating legendary bosses – including Death, Medusa, Carmilla, and a new boss named Joan of Arc – allows Rose to seal them into tarot cards known as Arcana. Players can activate these Arcana to cast spells and trigger unique special actions. Furthermore, players can customize their combat approach by discovering and pairing gear across seven distinct weapon categories alongside powerful offensive and defensive Relics scattered throughout the reimagined Gothic stages.
Pre-orders are live, offering a Standard Edition containing the base game, and a Midnight Edition that includes a Digital Sound and Art Gallery, a Trevor Style Costume, a Sypha Style Costume, and a Family’s Grace Relic. Pre-ordering either version awards an Alucard Style Costume.
