Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Uppercut Games have officially announced Magicians: The Devil’s Deal, an upcoming narrative-driven first-person action game. Set in a reality where performance magic manifests as actual supernatural power, the title is scheduled to launch in 2027. It will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, and it will also be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

The story follows Jacob Menteuro, a highly celebrated stage illusionist whose extraordinary talents bordered on the supernatural before he was betrayed by his closest peers and his own mentor. Cast into the depths of Hell, Jacob finds himself trapped within Theatreland, an infernal reflection of Victorian London that has been divided into distinct realms. Each area is ruled over by the very rivals who betrayed him, known as the Masters. To survive this twisted landscape governed by illusion, performance, and fanatical performers, Jacob strikes a treacherous pact with the Devil to hunt down his former colleagues, enact his revenge, and attempt to escape.
Magicians‘s gameplay places players in a first-person perspective where traditional stage magic tricks are weaponized into lethal combat disciplines. Players can manipulate gravity to bend the environment, throw razor-sharp playing cards as deadly projectiles, and summon physical chains to ensnare groups of nightmarish enemies. As Jacob descends deeper through the shifting stages of Theatreland, defeating the rival Masters allows him to directly steal their unique powers to expand his own mechanical capabilities. However, the narrative stresses that his pursuit of vengeance offers no simple resolution, pulling him progressively deeper into the surrounding spiritual darkness.
