Slavic folklore-inspired action RPG Bylina launches on April 20 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. A release window for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions has not yet been confirmed.

Set within a myth-infused realm inspired by Eastern European legends, Bylina follows Falconet, a young bogatyr born without the powers expected of a hero. Shunned and underestimated, his journey takes a dramatic turn when a seemingly simple task leads him into the mysterious Far Far Kingdom, where he meets an untimely end. Instead of a final fate, Falconet is revived by a strange spirit, binding their existences together and setting the stage for a deeper struggle over identity and destiny.
The narrative unfolds through Falconet’s attempt to reclaim his soul, unravel the secrets of his spectral companion, and confront a looming threat tied to the legendary Koschei the Deathless. Along the way, the world reveals itself as a layered and atmospheric setting, ranging from bright forests to oppressive dungeons and imposing strongholds, each filled with distinct encounters and challenges.
Bylina‘s combat leans into a mix of weapon mastery and magical abilities, encouraging experimentation with different playstyles. From traditional melee tools like swords and spears to more mystical powers, progression is tied to both skill development and equipment customization. Encounters escalate from common foes to formidable mythical creatures and punishing boss battles where precision becomes essential.
Beyond its action systems, Bylina places a notable emphasis on emotional depth. Characters are portrayed with internal struggles shaped by fear, loss, and past experiences, reinforcing a world where moral lines are rarely straightforward. Falconet’s journey is as much about confronting these inner conflicts as it is about overcoming external threats.
