Published by XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe, this version introduces the adventure to Nintendo’s platform with refreshed audio and the return of one of the franchise’s most important chapters.
Originally released as Ys: Memories of Celceta on PlayStation platforms and PC via Steam, this updated Switch edition revisits the journey of the legendary adventurer Adol Christin. Awakening in the unfamiliar land of Celceta with no recollection beyond his own name, Adol begins searching for answers about his lost past. His investigation soon leads him into the immense and dangerous Great Forest of Celceta alongside the thief Duren, who claims to have travelled with him before his memories disappeared.
Their journey quickly grows more complex when the local Romun Army general requests that the pair chart the mysterious wilderness surrounding the region. No expedition into the forest has ever returned, yet Adol and his companions set out to map the unknown landscape in hopes of uncovering the truth behind his forgotten history.
Exploration plays a central role in the adventure, with a detailed mapping system encouraging careful discovery of the vast forest and its hidden secrets. The combat system revolves around a dynamic party-based structure that allows quick switching between allies, enabling strategic adjustments during intense encounters with powerful foes. As the journey unfolds, companions gain new abilities and provide tactical advantages against the dangers lurking throughout Celceta.
The Nintendo Switch release also enhances the experience with newly arranged versions of the game’s background music, allowing adventurers to enjoy a refreshed interpretation of the sweeping soundtrack while retracing one of the series’ defining stories.
Digital pre-orders for Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta are now available through the Nintendo eShop with a temporary launch discount. A physical Day One Edition will also be offered through the Marvelous USA Online Store and selected retailers, featuring collectible items including a soundtrack, art cards, a cloth map of Celceta, and additional themed extras.
