DaRmaZat The comedic sci-fi action shooter High On Life 2 is officially set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on April 20, adding a new platform to its release lineup. The game will arrive earlier on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on February 13, as previously announced, and will also be available through Game Pass.
Update – March 23, 2026: High On Life 2 is now set to release on Switch 2 on July 1, 2026.
The newly confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 version launches a little later than the other platforms, but will arrive alongside a physical edition. Physical copies will be available on both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 20, with the Switch 2 release shipping on a game-key card.
Developed by Squanch Games, High On Life 2 continues the studio’s irreverent first-person action formula, blending fast-paced gunplay with absurd humor and outspoken alien weaponry. The sequel picks up after the fall of an intergalactic cartel, as the protagonist’s newfound fame is shattered by the return of a figure from their past who places a bounty on their sister’s head, pulling them back into cosmic chaos.
Once again, in High On Life 2, you travel across strange and dangerous alien worlds, combining shooting, melee attacks, and traversal tools such as a skateboard to outmaneuver enemies. Combat leans heavily on personality-driven alien weapons, while encounters are framed by an eccentric cast of characters and a satirical take on interstellar corporations and human exploitation.
