Action RPG Code Vein II is set to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on January 30, and Bandai Namco has now released a nine-minute overview trailer offering an in-depth look at the game’s core systems, environments, and customization options.

The overview trailer focuses on Code Vein II’s expanded combat systems, highlighting reworked Drain Attacks, the new Formae abilities, and an enhanced Partner System. By extracting Ichor through Drain Attacks, players can unleash powerful Formae, ranging from offensive weapon modifiers to defensive counters and evasive maneuvers.
Combat depth is further shaped by Jails, back-mounted artifacts that influence stats and tactical options, alongside new weapon types such as Twin Blades and Rune Blades. These additions tie into the expanded Blood Code system, allowing players to switch combat styles and fine-tune builds. The trailer also showcases the Restorative Offering, a high-risk Partner ability that revives the player at the cost of temporarily disabling the assisting ally.
Ahead of release, players will also be able to experiment with customization through the Code Vein II Character Creator Demo, launching January 23. The demo offers 64 save slots that carry over to the full game and provides access to the game’s detailed character creation suite. Players can fine-tune body type, hairstyles, facial features, accessories, makeup, and more, while previewing their character in different lighting conditions at the MagMell Institute’s hot spring and capturing screenshots using Photo Mode.
