THQ Nordic and developer Paraglacial have released the first gameplay footage for Fatekeeper, offering an uncut eight-minute look at the studio’s atmospheric first-person action RPG. The new video dives directly into the mountain ruins that tower above the game’s valleys, a place where remnants of forgotten ages cling to the stone and danger hides in every shadow. Shortlings prowl the corridors of the crumbling fortress, while rumors suggest an even more formidable warrior has taken shelter deep within the ruins.

Revealed earlier this year during THQ Nordic’s August 2025 Showcase, Fatekeeper is being developed by Paraglacial, a small team of just twelve people. The latest footage provides the clearest view yet of the project’s ambitions, showcasing weighty melee combat, early narrative elements, and the interplay between exploration, gear, and environmental discovery. Players can see how the game blends grounded action with hints of ancient mysticism as they descend further into the mountain stronghold.
The preview also highlights the Druid, the customizable hero at the center of the experience. Adept with blades, axes, and other melee weapons while simultaneously attuned to elemental forces, the Druid can be molded into a close-range bruiser or a spell-driven fighter who channels power from afar. Every ability, weapon choice, and piece of gear contributes to shaping the player’s identity, reinforcing Fatekeeper’s emphasis on personalized combat styles.
First announced as a PC title coming to Steam and set to arrive in Early Access in 2026, Fatekeeper places players in a world shaped by ancient destruction and lingering magic. Its handcrafted environments range from shattered ruins and enchanted forests to lost sanctuaries steeped in history. Combat blends responsive weapon handling with precision-based spellcasting, while progression centers on relics, armor, and branching build paths that support a wide array of playstyles. Whether driven by brute strength, agility, or arcane prowess, every path is intended to be viable as players carve their fate through the remnants of a broken age.
