Cognition Europe has unveiled Lunar Strike, a speculative fiction adventure game set on the Moon’s South Pole. The game is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. A release date has not yet been confirmed.

Set in the year 2119, Lunar Strike places players in the role of a junior archivist tasked with documenting humanity’s final lunar colony. What begins as a methodical effort to preserve scientific, cultural, and personal records quickly spirals into a fight for survival when sabotage threatens the fragile lunar settlement. Players must balance scarce oxygen, dwindling energy, and precious time while making difficult choices about which fragments of knowledge and memory should endure.
Exploration of the colony is paired with survival-focused systems grounded in real lunar science. From scanning artifacts and reconstructing events to managing habitat functions and oxygen reserves, every decision impacts both the fate of the archive and the community it represents. With branching outcomes shaped by values and priorities, Lunar Strike blends narrative-driven gameplay with speculative themes of legacy, memory, and responsibility.
