NVIDIA App Update Brings Global DLSS Overrides, Smooth Motion for RTX 40 GPUs, and More
DaRmaZat NVIDIA has announced a new update for its NVIDIA App, rolling out August 19 at 9 a.m. PT, alongside a fresh Game Ready Driver.
The update introduces a global DLSS override toggle, allowing users to apply DLSS 4 upgrades across all compatible titles instead of configuring settings per game. Override status can now also be tracked in-game through the Alt+R statistics overlay.
GeForce RTX 40 Series owners gain access to NVIDIA Smooth Motion, an AI-powered frame interpolation feature for games lacking native Frame Generation support. Meanwhile, a streamlined Surround setup screen and the migration of popular legacy 3D settings from the NVIDIA Control Panel expand customization options for both modern and older titles.
Project G-Assist, NVIDIA’s AI assistant, is now also available across all GeForce RTX GPUs and laptops with at least 6GB VRAM. The assistant uses a more efficient model, supports plugins via mod.io, and includes numerous stability and UX improvements. Other updates include Advanced Optimus enhancements for laptops, offering clearer status reporting and notification options.
