Monster taming roguelite Aethermancer will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on September 23, publisher offbrand games and developer moi rai announced.

The Early Access version will feature one player class, three difficulty levels, 28 monsters across 19 types, more than 400 abilities to learn, three distinct biomes, four meta-progression systems, town customization options, and a Monster Deity boss encounter. The developers expect the game to remain in Early Access for roughly one year, with plans to expand its roster of monsters, environments, end-game areas, and player classes, while adding polish and quality-of-life updates.
Set in the world of Terastae, Aethermancer blends monster taming with roguelite progression and turn-based combat. Players take the role of an Aethermancer, bonding with monsters trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth and guiding them toward Worthiness. Every run offers new strategic decisions as monsters evolve, perish, and return with greater strength.
Battles are built around harnessing the four elements of Aether and coordinating a party of three monsters, each with unique abilities that change depending on prior choices and party composition. Death is permanent, but resurrection brings progression, ensuring each cycle builds toward deeper mastery.
