The team behind Chrono Odyssey, a next-generation action MMORPG developed by Chrono Studio and published by Kakao Games, has released a detailed statement following its recent closed beta. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game wowed many players with its breathtaking visuals and expansive seamless open world. With dynamic, time-manipulation-based combat and deep character customization, Chrono Odyssey generated plenty of excitement—but also faced its fair share of criticism.

In a candid update, the developers thanked the community for participating in the beta and emphasized that player feedback is already shaping the next phase of development. While the overall experience showed promise, many testers pointed out issues with animations, responsiveness during combat, visual performance, camera control, and general optimization. According to the developers, these concerns have been taken seriously and are now guiding a major round of improvements.
Among the planned upgrades are refinements to how combat feels in moment-to-moment gameplay, improvements to camera behavior during fights, and a broader effort to smooth out performance across various hardware setups. The team is also working on polishing the graphics without overburdening players’ systems, aiming to strike a better balance between visual fidelity and stability. Development is also focused on improvements across other areas such as sound, UI, game balance, content flow, narrative design, and overall playability.
Although a final release date for Chrono Odyssey on Steam has yet to be announced, Chrono Studio made it clear they are in no rush. Their focus remains on quality, stability, and delivering a game that lives up to both the studio’s ambitions and players’ expectations.
