Activision has announced that Season 05 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone will go live on August 7. The new season sees the Black Ops Rogue team fully reinstated by the CIA, granting them full access to firepower and resources as they move to eliminate the final Pantheon moles.
Season 05 introduces new multiplayer maps, game modes, and the explosive conclusion to the current Zombies storyline. In Zombies, players will infiltrate the Janus Towers to stop S.A.M. before his plans for ultimate power come to fruition. Meanwhile, the skies above Verdansk are about to erupt with a destructive force that could shift the balance of the ongoing Warzone conflict.

Multiplayer highlights include new maps at launch—Runway, Exchange, and World Motor Dynasty—followed by Jackpot later in the season. Players can expect a mix of classic and new game modes like Aim High, Snipers Only, and Blueprint Gunfight. A new Scorestreak, the Combat Bow, will also be available in the mid-season update.
In Zombies, players will head to the Appalachian region in Reckoning, the final chapter in the current arc. They’ll wield new weapons like the Gorgofex and Mister Peeks, and take on fresh gameplay experiences including new Grief Arenas, Directed Mode, and the return of Team Cranked.
In Warzone, the new “Raze the Roof” mission sends Operators into Verdansk Stadium on a multi-stage contract to uncover hidden tech secrets. Time-limited modes like Stadium Resurgence and Deadline introduce new challenges, while the Satellite Hijack contract builds tension toward a major in-game event.
Across all modes, Season 05 adds four new weapons, including the ABR A1 Assault Rifle and PML 5.56 LMG. Players can unlock new events, rewards, and earn the latest cosmetics through the Battle Pass. Lawrence Sims returns to headline the Season 05 Battle Pass, joined by other Operators such as Solace, The Replacer, and The Fisherman from I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is in development at Treyarch and Raven Software. Set in the early 1990s, the campaign blends spy-thriller storytelling with traditional Black Ops gameplay, including cinematic single-player missions, multiplayer action, and the return of round-based Zombies.
