Publisher Flynn’s Arcade and indie developer Electro Soul Games will bring ION Shift to Nintendo Switch on July 31, following its earlier PC debut. The hardcore 2D platformer will be available digitally across all regional Nintendo eShops, including the Americas, Europe (ES, BE, NL, UK), Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, with support for six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian.

In ION Shift, you control a mysterious alien infiltrating a hostile spacecraft swarming with armed soldiers, laser drones, and deadly traps. Every room becomes a killbox where only sharp reflexes and tactical improvisation can carry you through.
Precision platforming, fast-paced dashes, and sandbox-style combat arenas lie at the game’s core. Throwables can rebound and ricochet, meaning every attack demands situational awareness—and mistakes have consequences. Friendly fire is not just a feature, it’s a mechanic.
Each area evolves into a layered test of skill as new enemy types and shifting layouts keep the action unpredictable. Multiple paths and combat solutions reward creative play and quick thinking, making ION Shift both punishing and highly replayable.
Developed with a retro-infused visual style and a focus on fluid movement, ION Shift offers a distilled shot of tension for fans of twitch-based action and tight controls.
