Super Rare Originals and developer Pixel Reign have announced that Moros Protocol, a sci-fi roguelite first-person shooter, will launch for PC via Steam on September 4.
Update – August 27, 2025: Due to the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, the launch of Moros Protocol has been delayed to September 18.

Set aboard a massive warship lost to chaos, Moros Protocol thrusts players into the role of Alex, a lone survivor waking to find the vessel’s crew decimated and the corridors crawling with monstrous threats. Accompanied by a sardonic AI and a not-so-bright robotic companion named Ody-6, Alex must carve a path through darkness, death, and the unknown.
Built with a unique retro-stylized renderer and brutal roguelike structure, Moros Protocol encourages players to adapt with each run. Whether you favor rapid-fire SMG builds, high-precision sniping, or up-close shotgun mayhem, the ship’s ever-changing routes and branching paths reward creative loadout experimentation. Weapon augments and playstyle modifiers discovered during each session push you to rethink your strategy constantly.
The game supports drop-in two-player co-op, allowing friends to face the horrors together. Between runs, players can upgrade their abilities, making each death a chance to return stronger. Whether solo or paired up, Moros Protocol promises fast-paced, adaptive combat in a bleak and decaying sci-fi world that feels as hostile as it is visually distinct.
