Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit made an appearance in the 28 Games Later showcase, which also included a new developer interview going behind the scenes of the game’s production. Alongside the interview, a brand-new Spirit Trailer offered a deeper look at the Thai ghost stories fueling the narrative, while the studio prepares for further playtests and showcases at Gamescom Asia later this month.

In this Thai folklore-inspired horror adventure, you guide a childlike spirit named Kumarn and his companion Zeb through a nightmarish realm after a forbidden ritual rips them from their sacred shrine. Drawing inspiration from atmospheric titles like Little Nightmares, gameplay combines stealth evasion, environmental puzzle-solving, and light-manipulation mechanics using a sacred lamp to outwit terrifying entities across cursed temples and abandoned villages.
Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit, developed by WereBuff Studio and published by Wired Productions, is set to release in 2027 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
