Titan Quest II, the mythological action RPG currently in Early Access, is preparing its next major update for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store & GeForce Now) with a fresh April teaser highlighting revamped Summons, item overhauls, and new systems aimed at deepening build variety. A sneak peek of the upcoming content, including gameplay footage of two of the new Summons, has also been revealed through Grimlore Games’ developer blog on Steam, with a full breakdown coming soon.

The upcoming update puts Summons back in the spotlight, but not without meaningful changes. Each mastery will introduce its own distinct companion, ranging from electrically charged Storm Wisps to defensive War Banners and imposing Core Dwellers. These allies are designed to be flexible in combat, allowing different approaches depending on how actively they are controlled or enhanced during encounters.
Beyond companions, the update also retools core loot systems. Epic gear is being reforged to improve its relevance, while a new Talisman item type expands build possibilities, particularly for magic-focused setups but without excluding other playstyles. The developers are also working on broader systemic adjustments to ensure that item drops feel consistently rewarding.
This teaser aligns with the previously outlined Early Access roadmap, which emphasizes a steady cadence of both large-scale updates and smaller refinements. Major content drops are expected roughly every three months, introducing features such as new masteries, story expansions, and gameplay systems, while interim patches focus on balancing, quality-of-life improvements, and mechanical tweaks.
Early Access was chosen as a development approach to allow close iteration with the community, especially important within the competitive ARPG space where fine-tuning mechanics is critical. The full release of Titan Quest II remains planned for late 2026, at which point console versions are also expected to arrive alongside the 1.0 launch.
