Developer Archetype Entertainment has shared a new work-in-progress gameplay clip for EXODUS, offering a closer look at a combat encounter set within Khonsu, a Celestial-built orbital defense platform. The footage highlights close-quarters engagements, squad coordination, and the evolving combat toolkit players will wield throughout the experience.

In the sequence, protagonist Jun Aslan pushes through tight corridors alongside companions while facing off against “Ghosts”, ancient automated defenses that activate when intruders are detected. The gameplay emphasizes fluid weapon switching, with the Recycler shifting between ranged and close-range modes, alongside powerful abilities like the Lance, which delivers heavy-impact attacks under pressure.
EXODUS is a science-fiction action RPG slated for release in early 2027. The game follows Jun Aslan, a seemingly ordinary individual with a rare genetic lineage tied to the mysterious Travelers, granting him unique abilities that shape both combat and narrative progression. Player choices will influence relationships, character development, and long-term consequences across generations.
Designed with flexibility in mind, EXODUS allows players to approach encounters through either stealth or direct confrontation, unlocking new abilities, weapons, and synergies over time. Companions play a central role in the journey, each bringing their own motivations and story arcs that expand the game’s universe. The narrative also features the enigmatic C.C. Orlev, portrayed by Matthew McConaughey, whose role remains largely shrouded in mystery.
EXODUS will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in early 2027.
