Strategy roguelike deckbuilder Heroes of Magic & Cards will release on March 19 for PC via Steam. Developer and publisher First Day Entertainment Inc. confirmed the final launch date, detailing the full scope of content awaiting players at release.

Blending traditional deckbuilding structure with poker-inspired mechanics, Heroes of Magic & Cards challenges players to construct powerful hands using a standard fifty-two-card deck while navigating a fantasy world filled with monsters and arcane forces. Combat revolves around forming poker combinations such as pairs and straights, which trigger amplified effects and devastating combo chains. Careful manipulation of suits and values becomes just as important as long-term build planning.
At launch, the game will feature three full Acts along with a hidden Secret Act that pushes players beyond the Ancient Forest into more hostile regions such as the Dark Prison and Shadow Flame Mountain. Each biome introduces tougher enemies and increasingly complex strategic encounters, culminating in powerful boss fights that test both deck synergy and tactical execution.
Players can choose from three distinct hero classes. Ironhoof, the Warrior, focuses on raw power and durability. Felstorm, the Warlock, channels destructive elemental forces. Ashclaw, the Druid, adapts dynamically in combat through shapeshifting versatility. Each class has access to a wide pool of abilities that alter playstyle in meaningful ways, encouraging experimentation across runs.
The full release also introduces ten escalating Inferno difficulty levels that significantly intensify combat conditions. These modifiers are designed to push optimized builds to their limits while enabling competition through online leaderboards. Additional relics, enchantments, and random events further expand build variety, offering hundreds of potential combinations that can dramatically reshape a run. A newly added Log Book system allows players to track discoveries and completion progress.
Across its progression systems, Heroes of Magic & Cards emphasizes synergy between poker-hand optimization and roguelike buildcraft. Enchantments can alter card values, adjust suits, or apply special modifiers, allowing players to refine probabilities and unlock high-impact effects. Relics introduce transformative trade-offs that fundamentally change strategy, reinforcing replayability.
