DaRmaZat The survival horror title Dead Format arrives December 10 for PC via Steam, bringing a film-inspired nightmare from publisher Oro Interactive and developer Katanalevy.
Set in 1990s Scotland, the game follows a distressed sibling searching for their missing brother, who vanished after becoming consumed by a strange VHS format. Players move between reality and cursed videotapes, each transporting them into twisted film-era worlds drawn from silent cinema, Italian giallo, 80s body horror, found footage, and more. Your apartment serves as the central hub where you regroup, track clues, and access each tape-bound dimension through an old television set.
Dead Format‘s gameplay leans heavily into classic survival design, encouraging players to scavenge for supplies, uncover puzzle items, and manage limited resources. Every world offers its own aesthetic, enemies, and boss encounters, with weapons and tools tied to each cinematic theme.
