The sandbox adventure Core Keeper—available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store—will debut its enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on January 28, 2026. The launch coincides with a major free content drop for all platforms.

Upgraded to harness the power of Nintendo Switch 2, this new edition delivers sharper visuals, improved lighting and shadows, enhanced water and particle effects, and a boosted performance target of 60fps. It also expands native co-op to support up to eight players. Original Nintendo Switch users can join these larger sessions when connecting to a lobby hosted on Nintendo Switch 2, making cross-generational collaboration seamless.
Releasing on the same day, the substantial Void & Voltage Update introduces a wealth of new content for all platforms at no extra cost. Players can explore Breaker’s Reach, a newly added biome filled with fresh enemy types and the imposing robo-boss S.A.H.A.B.A.R. The update leans heavily into action and automation with explosive weaponry like the Flamethrower and Minigun, alongside new crafting opportunities centered on the Advanced Automation Table.
Farming and base expansion benefit from new tools such as the Robot Farm Arm, Seed Extractor Machine, Item Collector, and a suite of automation devices including the Conveyor Belt Splitter, Shredder, Incinerator, and Critter Catcher. Together, these additions offer expanded creative freedom and streamline work deep underground.
Core Keeper continues its growth with more than four million players worldwide, and its upcoming Switch 2 release marks another major milestone for the cozy-yet-action-packed adventure.
