DaRmaZat Nintendo and Koei Tecmo’s AAA Games Studio have announced that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will receive a free update on November 27 for Switch 2.
The update introduces two new weapons, a new Sync Strike for Zelda and Calamo, and additional in-game rewards earned by taking on newly added enemy encounters. Further specifics were not detailed.
Age of Imprisonment originally launched on November 6, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Set generations before The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the game explored the rise of Ganondorf and Hyrule’s desperate attempts to hold back the Demon King’s invasion. Players fought alongside Princess Zelda and King Rauru while commanding an expanding roster of heroes, including Calamo the wandering Korok, the shapeshifting Mysterious Construct, and several legendary Sages such as Agraston of the Gorons, Zora Queen Qia, and Raphica of the Rito.
The release introduced large-scale battles and cinematic storytelling in the Warriors tradition, along with the debut of Sync Strikes—tag-team techniques that change based on the paired characters, offering unique buffs, constructs, and high-damage combo routes.
