Publisher Humble Games and developer Chuhai Labs have unveiled a new name and a new look at their upcoming on-rails aerial combat adventure. Formerly titled Wild Blue, the game will now launch for PC via Steam as Wild Blue Skies, accompanied today by a four-minute gameplay trailer highlighting the high-intensity “Hurricane” level. A release date has yet to be announced.

Described as a modern twist on classic ’90s on-rails shooters, Wild Blue Skies sends players soaring across oceans, deserts, cavern runs, and enemy fortresses as they battle Grimclaw’s forces. Supported by a squad of allies, players fight to reclaim the skies while experiencing fast-paced, arcade-style flight combat refreshed with contemporary polish.
The game features accessible, easy-to-learn controls aimed at both newcomers and genre veterans. Its anime-inspired presentation brings hand-crafted landscapes and vibrant aerial vistas to life, while branching routes and replay-focused score challenges encourage multiple runs. Missions range from large-scale dogfights to dramatic boss encounters—including clashes with a mysterious rival squad.
