GODBREAKERS, Four-Player Hack-and-Slash Co-Op Game, Announced for PS5 and PC

Publisher Thunderful Games and in-house developer To The Sky have announced GODBREAKERS, a four-player cooperative hack-and-slash action title set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The game will also support Steam Deck, and a playable demo is available now via Steam.

Described as fast, fluid, and chaotic, GODBREAKERS lets players unleash devastating powers against evolving enemies and bosses, either solo or in online co-op for up to four players. Players absorb enemy abilities mid-battle to unleash “Godbreaks,” powerful finishers that turn enemy strength into a weapon. Each encounter is built around dynamic, multi-phase bosses and high-speed, combo-driven combat.

Set in a surreal sci-fi world long after humanity’s fall, players take on the role of the Coven’s last hope, battling through six shifting biomes packed with hazards, evolving enemies, and strategic decision-making. Combat builds can be customized using unlockable Archetypes, weapons, and abilities across multiple runs, offering deep progression and replayability.

GODBREAKERS is the debut title from To The Sky, a new studio under Thunderful Games. “We wanted to create a game that feels fast, fluid, and fun, where every moment is a chance to unleash chaos alongside your friends,” said CEO and executive producer Jugo Mirkovi. “We’ve poured years of knowledge into crafting the best gameplay experience possible.”

GODBREAKERS is due out in 2025. A free demo is available now via Steam.
