DaRmaZat Publisher CULT Games and developer White Owls have announced that Hotel Barcelona, a surreal horror-action sidescroller, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on September 26. A physical edition, distributed by Nighthawk Interactive, will also be available for consoles. Pre-orders are now open at major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop for $29.99/€29.99.
Hotel Barcelona is a 2.5D action title that blends grindhouse-style horror with rogue-lite progression and high-octane combat. Players take on the role of Justine, a rookie U.S. Marshal who finds herself trapped in a luxury hotel overrun by twisted killers. Forced to confront the sinister voices in her head—including the monstrous Dr. Carnival—she battles her way through floors themed after classic VHS-era horror.
With each death, Justine gains strength through ghostly echoes of her former selves, enabling new tactics in each run. The game also supports online co-op for up to four players, adding even more chaos to its blood-soaked hotel halls.
Hotel Barcelona marks a collaboration between Deadly Premonition creator Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro and No More Heroes director Goichi “Suda51” Suda.
