Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Veronica, a complete remake of the survival-horror classic Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2026, the highly anticipated remake is scheduled to launch sometime in 2027. Moving away from previous-generation hardware, the title is being developed specifically for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The remake marks the return of fan-favorite heroine Claire Redfield as she fights to survive a desperate escape from Rockfort Island, a remote, isolated complex overrun by zombies and biological horrors.
Built from the ground up using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, the developers promise a chilling level of visual realism and modernized gameplay mechanics designed to push the boundaries of modern survival horror, echoing the design philosophy of the studio’s previous critically acclaimed remakes.
