Publisher NACON and developer Cyanide Studio have officially launched Tour de France 2026, bringing the annual cycling simulation series to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Serving as the official video game tie-in for the world’s most prestigious cycling tournament, the 2026 iteration introduces major core overhauls, mechanical balancing, and structural adaptations to capture the exact layout of this year’s competitive route.

The simulation accurately maps out all 21 official stages of the real-world race. Key architectural and cultural landmarks are rendered natively within the game engine, spanning from the Sagrada Família in Barcelona – the official starting city for the 2026 tour – to the traditional finish line background of the Sacré-Cœur in Paris. Players can navigate the professional grid using real-world star riders like Tadej Pogačar to compete directly for the yellow jersey, or build their own custom athlete from the ground up through a persistent career progression mode.
The most notable mechanical addition to this year’s release is a fully dynamic weather system. Mid-race rainfall now alters the track physics in real-time, making roads hazardous and actively shifting cornering lines and braking distances. To manage the risk of catastrophic pile-ups during wet descents, the game relies heavily on individual rider stats, grading professional athletes on an agility scale from D to A+ to determine how effectively they can maintain control on slick asphalt.
Additionally, the package expands its competitive race portfolio by incorporating the official Paris-Tours and Muscat Classic events, alongside authorized national champion jerseys and a fully redesigned, immersive user interface.
