Publisher PLAYISM and developer .iris have officially revealed A Passing in the Night, a 3D psychological horror adventure coming to PC. Scheduled for a 2026 release, the title features a surreal atmosphere and will support English, Japanese, Korean, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese languages at launch.

The story follows Kai, a young man who wakes from a dream in the dead of night to find himself wandering aimlessly through a distorted, apparition-filled town. The narrative centers on a high-stakes encounter with a demon who offers Kai a choice: surrender his most precious memory in exchange for an eternity free from worldly pain, or retain his memories and endure the suffering of waking life. With only one hour to decide, players must navigate the strange city and its inhabitants to find their own answers.
A Passing in the Night emphasizes exploration and decision-making within its haunting, dreamlike setting. As Kai walks the streets to escape reality, he must weigh the value of his own heart against the lure of a painless existence.
The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam ahead of its arrival next year.
