Simone A four-minute gameplay overview has been released for Edge of Memories, the upcoming French action RPG from publisher Nacon and developer Midgar Studio.
The title focuses on the journey of Eline, a Soul Whisperer traversing the decaying continent of Avaris. The footage highlights a world succumbing to Corrosion, a blight that serves as both a narrative threat and a source of power for the protagonist.
Combat is designed around high-speed combos and a unique transformation mechanic fueled by Eline’s internal rage, allowing her to shift into a powerful black beast. Players fight alongside two companions, Kanta and Ysoris, who provide elemental skills and hacking abilities to navigate environmental puzzles.
Exploration is further aided by the Nekaroo, a swift mount capable of scaling walls. Character progression utilizes “Echoes” – fragments of Eline’s memory – to unlock new abilities, while a loadout system allows players to swap between three strategic skill sets during active encounters.
Edge of Memories is slated for a 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
