Five years after its original PC debut, Dragonis Games’ cosmic horror adventure The Shore has officially arrived on PlayStation 5 through its newly released Enhanced Edition, marking the title’s long-awaited console debut.

Rebuilt for PS5 in collaboration with Iphigames, this expanded version brings the acclaimed first-person horror experience to a new audience while refining its unsettling blend of exploration, puzzle-solving, and mythos-driven terror. An Xbox Series X|S version is also planned for later this year.
Set on a cursed and isolated island steeped in eldritch mythology, The Shore follows Andrew, a desperate father searching for his missing daughter through desolate villages, ancient ruins, and landscapes shaped by incomprehensible gods. Rooted heavily in Lovecraftian themes, the experience combines environmental storytelling, oppressive atmosphere, and encounters with towering cosmic entities as players uncover the island’s dark history. Alongside environmental puzzles and narrative discovery, players wield forbidden artifacts tied to ancient powers, reinforcing the game’s tension between survival and sacrifice.
The Enhanced Edition represents the most complete version of The Shore to date, pairing visual upgrades and console optimization with the psychological dread and creature design that helped define its original reception. The game is available now digitally on PlayStation 5 for €19.99, while a physical edition bundled with Necrophosis: Full Consciousness is scheduled to follow on May 28 through PQube.
