Upcoming action-adventure game Koshmar: The Last Reverie has been officially revealed by developer Purple Ray Studio, alongside a first look at its surreal, nightmarish world. Described as a blend of action combat, roguelite progression, RPG systems, platforming, and puzzle elements, the game places a strong emphasis on duality—where shifting states of reality directly impact gameplay and exploration.

Koshmar: The Last Reverie follows Violet, a teenager who uses lucid dreaming to enter nightmarish realms as a mysterious sleeping sickness spreads into reality. As dreams and the real world begin to overlap, players must navigate shifting perceptions that directly impact both gameplay and story.
The experience blends fast-paced combat with platforming, puzzles, and roguelite elements, set across surreal environments with a gothic and steampunk-inspired aesthetic. A core duality system allows players to shape Violet’s abilities and mental state through Dream- or Nightmare-aligned playstyles, influencing how the world reacts and leading to multiple possible endings.
Koshmar: The Last Reverie is currently in development for consoles and PC via Steam, with further details to be announced at a later date.
