Lovecraftian narrative puzzle adventure Call of the Elder Gods will launch on May 12, 2026 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, publisher Kwalee and developer Out of the Blue have announced. The game will also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.

A sequel to the award-winning Call of the Sea, Call of the Elder Gods builds on its predecessor’s narrative-driven design with a new standalone story, meaning no prior knowledge is required to jump in.
The game follows Professor Harry Everhart and newcomer Evangeline Drayton as they embark on a globe-spanning journey in search of missing loved ones. Their investigation takes them from New England to the Australian desert, the Arctic, and the ancient city of Pnakotus—locations steeped in mystery and influenced by cosmic horror themes.
Call of the Elder Gods‘ gameplay centers on first-person puzzle-solving, with challenges rooted in logic, observation, and environmental interaction. As players progress, they will uncover intertwined personal stories shaped by grief, discovery, and the unknown, while returning fans may notice deeper connections to the events of Call of the Sea.
