Publisher Ubisoft and developer SCREEN JUICE have announced that roguelike hack-and-slash action game Morbid Metal will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 8.
The game will be available at a limited-time launch price of $13.49 / €13.49, increasing to $17.99 / €17.99 after the initial promotion. A full Early Access roadmap is set to be revealed on April 17 during the Find Your Next Game Showcase.
In Morbid Metal, players can shapeshift between multiple characters in real time, chaining fast-paced combos to cut through waves of machines and challenging bosses. The Early Access version includes three playable characters, several biomes with unique run modifiers, over 10 enemy types, and a variety of systems such as mid-run perks, optional encounters, and a progression-focused “Void Nexus” skill tree. Players will also be able to experiment with synergies, unlock new abilities, and explore lore entries as development continues.
The game supports multiple languages at launch, including English, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese, with more potentially added during Early Access.
