DON’T NOD has announced that its cinematic sci-fi adventure Aphelion will launch on April 28, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at release.

The title will be priced at $29.99 / €29.99 on PC and $34.99 / €34.99 on consoles. Players on Xbox Series and Steam will receive a 10 percent launch discount for a limited time. A physical release, called the “Pioneer Edition,” is also planned. Distributed by Maximum Entertainment, the boxed edition will arrive July 2 for PlayStation 5.
In Aphelion, players follow astronaut Ariane Montclair, who becomes stranded on the frozen planet Persephone after the Hope 01 mission crashes during an exploratory operation. Her objective becomes finding and rescuing her injured partner Thomas Cross while surviving the hostile environment.
Set in the year 2060, the story revolves around humanity’s search for a new home as Earth becomes uninhabitable. Persephone, a newly discovered ninth planet at the edge of the solar system, may hold the key to humanity’s future.
Aphelion‘s gameplay blends exploration, traversal, and stealth mechanics as players navigate dangerous terrain and unpredictable weather. Ariane relies on specialized equipment such as a pathfinder scanner, oxygen systems, and a grappling hook to move across the planet’s icy landscapes. However, the environment isn’t the only danger. Something mysterious lurks beneath the frozen surface, forcing players to rely on stealth and careful movement to survive.
Aphelion launches April 28, with the Pioneer Edition physical release following July 2 for PlayStation 5.
