Publisher Nacon and developer Big Bad Wolf Studio have released a new story trailer for Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. Digital pre-orders are now available ahead of the game’s launch on April 16 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Set in 2053, the Lovecraftian adventure follows Noah, an agent specializing in occult affairs, who is dispatched to the depths of the Pacific Ocean to investigate the disappearance of researchers from the Ocean-I corporation. The new trailer highlights the company’s global research efforts and reveals that a groundbreaking discovery has led a team of scientists to the mythical sunken city of R’lyeh.
With contact lost, Noah begins tracing both the missing expedition and Andrew Marsh, CEO of Ocean-I. As he ventures deeper into the submerged city, the boundary between reality and nightmare begins to fracture under the influence of Cthulhu. The investigation unfolds amid deteriorating sanity, ancient rituals, and encounters with cosmic entities, framing a narrative where the pursuit of truth carries significant psychological cost.
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss centers on a tense investigative structure that challenges players to preserve Noah’s lucidity while solving puzzles and making consequential decisions. Each chapter presents critical choices that shape progression, drawing players further into the broader Lovecraftian mythos.
