The Disney Afternoon Collection Launches on Switch February 26, Adds Two Nintendo-Exclusive Games

Atari and developer Digital Eclipse have announced that The Disney Afternoon Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on February 26. This Nintendo release expands the original collection with two additional titles—Goof Troop and Bonkers—which will be exclusive to the Switch and Switch 2 versions.

Pre-orders for both physical and digital editions are now available via Atari.com, the Nintendo eShop, and select retailers. Physical editions are scheduled to ship in May and will include the full game cartridge, sticker sheets, postcards, milk caps, and a reversible cover.

Originally released in April 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, The Disney Afternoon Collection brings together classic Disney games inspired by the beloved animated television block, updated with modern quality-of-life features.

For Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, the collection introduces Goof Troop and Bonkers, both originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and making their return for the first time since their original debuts. These join a lineup of classic Nintendo Entertainment System titles, including DuckTales, DuckTales 2, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck.

The collection includes a range of modern enhancements designed to make these retro titles more accessible. Players can rewind gameplay to correct mistakes, save progress at any point, and explore a curated Gallery featuring behind-the-scenes materials and archival content from Disney’s vault. A Music Player allows fans to listen to the original soundtracks from all included games, while the NES titles also feature Time Attack and Boss Rush modes with online leaderboards for speedrunning enthusiasts.
